Homeopathy For Your Menopausal Symptoms

As a holistic practitioner it comes as no surprise that many of my clients are women that suffer from menopausal symptoms that can’t be controlled on their own.

Though I do a combination of holistic medicine, my passion is incorporating Homeopathy into my private practice. I am a great advocate for helping women take control of their health by focusing on natural approaches that can really impact their lives.

Though you may not be in menopause you maybe hovering or close to being in the menopausal cycle. This cycle that is in between the reproductive cycle and menopause cycle is called perimenopause. It is important to know the differences between the different reproductive cycles in order to understand the stages you are in this very moment.

Menopause is considered a normal aging process that a woman goes through after the age of 40. When a woman is no longer menstruating for a period of 12 months she is now considered in the menopausal stage.

Menopause is considered a normal aging process that a woman goes through after the age of 40. When a woman is no longer menstruating for a period of 12 months she is now considered in the menopausal stage.

However, some women go through menopause early and this results in damage to the ovaries or resulting in surgeries such as hysterectomies. In menopause your ovaries no longer releases an egg every month there for menstruation stops. The average age for a woman in menopause is 51 years.

Symptoms that are common in menopause include:

1. Depression
2. Fatigue
3. Irregular or skipped periods
4. Irritability
5. Palpitations
6. Migraines
7. Incontinence
8. Hot flashes
9. vaginal dryness
10. Insomnia
11. Low libido
12. Joint and muscle pain

The reason for irregularity of your periods in menopause is that ovulation does not occur every month due to failing ovaries.  the hormones which are released by the pituitary hormone (FSH) is increased in secretion this occurs because it’s forcing the ovaries into producing eggs on a regular monthly basis.

When it comes to natural medicine for women’s health it is my passion because it is a general approach that allows the body to activate it ability to overcome health problems.  Here are a few reasons to try homeopathy for your menopausal symptoms:

1.  Homeopathy can be a very effective for treating symptoms of menopause. one of the main reasons is that homeopathy is a complete system that helps promote balanced health by allowing the body’s natural healing capacity to be triggered. It does so by enhancing the vital force which is a mechanism related to homeopathy which is for example the immune system or the most powerful part of our body that keeps us alive.

2. Many of the homeopathic remedies are related to specific symptoms that can be individualized to your specific needs when it comes to your menopausal symptoms. In other words, the fantastic ability homeopathy has on the human body is that it can provide a unique ability for you to overcome your root cause of your underlying health concerns.

3.  Phytoestrogens are a common reason why many women are affected by hormonal imbalance especially earlier in their lives. these compounds are found in plants that actually mimic the characteristics of the hormone estrogen. Many of the food we consume such as soy, grains, edamame, dried fruits, coffee, broccoli, carrots. Though foods are an excellent way to get the proper sources for your health it can also be counterproductive for your hormonal symptoms making homeopathy an even better option since it provides you an effective and very safe way through many effective means.

4.  There are certain herbs that can be beneficial for certain conditions but yet can be harmful if self-medicated. Remember to always consider a naturopath or homeopath when looking to get to the root cause of your menopausal symptoms. Many herbal medications such as chaste tree berry, evening primrose, black cohosh, red clover licorice root, evening primrose and dong quai, all contain phytoestrogens that can actually make your menopausal symptoms worse. For this reason homeopathy can be taken for constitutional conditions without harmful side effects that can cause hormonal irregularities.

Self-medicating is never a good idea for long, ongoing conditions. This is why an experienced homeopath with the right qualifications, knowledge and expertise is essential.  With any alternative forms of medicine, self-treating can aggravate your condition even more. So I urge you to be extremely careful and consult a professional Homeopath when turning to homeopathy for long-standing alternative care.

Homeopathy provides all of these solutions and more importantly allows you to take your health back into your own hands.  When you are faced with a long-standing condition that isn’t improving, then consider another approach such as an alternative medicine like homeopathy. The foundation of this model of health addresses many levels of wellness that can be rectified by stimulating the body’s vital response.
